Thus, when they provoked Us, We took revenge upon them; We caused them to be drowned altogether.
When Moses and the believers were leaving Egypt, Pharaoh and his soldiers, who pursued them to seize them, were drowned. Those who did not leave Egypt remained there. That is the meaning of “We took revenge from among them.” The hypocrites and Mushrik Kuffar, by hiding Adhikr—which is the Food, Cloth, and Sight of the human soul—remain silent toward terrorism, bloodshed, racism, communalism, apartheid, etc., happening all over the world. They will be killed by other people of the Messenger Muhammad—such as Jains, Buddhists, Hindus, Jews, Christians, etc.—who will approve Islam after the second coming of Jesus, and thus the command of verses 4: 91; 5: 33; 9: 5, 123; and 33: 60-61 will be implemented. The mode of prayer and lifestyle the odd believer should follow in this period—when there is no group of believers anywhere in the world—is explained in verses 7: 205-206. See explanation 7: 31; 10: 90-92; 26: 63-66; and 29: 40.
